Debate on the digital surveillance state

Glenn Greenwald, the constitutional lawyer and political writer, has a lead essay up at the Cato Institute on the “The Digital Surveillance State.” Cato is a libertarian think tank.

In the style of the best journal debates, this is followed by two responses and in turn Greenwald provides a reply to his critics here.

You might recall that just a few weeks ago WaPo published a series of articles on the US’s intelligence network, labeling it as a complete “alternative geography of the United States.”
